2. Not Professional Advice — Important Disclaimer

PunchPilot generates AI-assisted estimates for informational purposes only. The Service is not a substitute for a licensed home inspector, contractor, structural engineer, attorney, real estate professional, or any other qualified expert.

Cost ranges produced by the Service are approximations generated by an AI model and are not binding quotes. Repair recommendations are based solely on the contents of the inspection report you upload and may not capture every defect, may misclassify defects, or may omit information critical to your decision. You are solely responsible for verifying all information and consulting qualified professionals before making any decision related to a real estate transaction, repair, negotiation, or contract.

We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the output produced by the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates disclaim all liability for any decisions made or actions taken based on the Service's output.

3. Account and Use

To use the Service, you must provide a valid email address and complete payment for each report. You agree to:

Provide accurate information when using the Service
Use the Service only for lawful purposes
Only upload inspection reports you have the right to share
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
Not use the Service to generate output that misleads any party in a real estate transaction

4. Payment

Payment is processed by Stripe. By submitting a payment, you authorize us to charge the listed price for each report. All prices are in US dollars and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless noted otherwise. See our Refund Policy for refund terms.

5. Content You Upload

You retain ownership of the inspection reports you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process the report for the purpose of generating your repair list, including transmitting it to our AI processing provider (Anthropic) and storing it temporarily in our infrastructure (Amazon Web Services). We do not sell, share, or use your reports for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Upload any content you do not have the legal right to upload
Upload content that violates the privacy of any third party
Generate output intended to defraud or deceive any party
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we, our affiliates, or our suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Durham County, North Carolina.
